This piece was painted between July and August of 2016. During this time, the mindset was one of discipline and focused effort. An journal excerpt from that period encompasses the mindset: "Be honest to yourself about what you want, and about what's stopping you from getting there. We can get whatever we want in life as long as we are willing to do the work, push ourselves beyond the comfort zone, and not give up for anything, nor anyone."
