Gabriela Gil painted this piece between April and May of 2018. It followed several studies she made with the goal of uncovering new techniques for the last three paintings in the Siamese series. The painting reflects a more serene color palette with a multi-layered light background, a flowing composition between two halves, and a new patching technique which softened the faces.
