Ghost Mark

The multi-layered surface exposes areas of raw canvas, and hints of subtly-painted brushstrokes which Gabriela Gil refers to as "ghost marks." This was a painting she made in 2019 and informed some of the techniques she would later employ at larger scale such as mixing polished surfaces with exposed raw canvas.
