Release Paintings

Release paintings are very different from the pieces that I make as part of a more researched series.Typically a release painting is a painting I work on purely based on instinct and memory recollection.The goal, like the name suggests, is to just release a lot of energy thru mark-making, thru body movement, and by following one color after another.

That's the process - I follow one color after another.

Release paintings are immediate,
they are about being present,
they are about listening to my instinct.
