Color Study Paintings
2023-2024
My love for abstraction lies in that it allows me to continue to learn about color, but also process thought and emotion in a more rythmic and cathartic way. In my recent work, I can’t help but notice familiar landscapes, albeit in abstract form.
This is a selection of abstract paintings made between 2023 and 2024 with the main goal of expanding my color language. During this time I had the guidance of one of the most influential mentors I've had during my time in New York - Jill Nathanson - at The Art Students League of New York.
Unlike previous paintings, all these were painted with oil except "Reset" and "Malecon de la Reserva."
